Client: DWP
PNE provides services to support the Department for Work and Pension’s New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) scheme, which helps those experiencing unemployment or low-income to become self-employed, delivering an enterprise support programme for beneficiaries. In 2017, PNE Enterprise supported 255 people through the NEA scheme, contributing to a total of 908 between 2015 and 2017; including 176 business starts.
Project: Get Growing
Run from 2016 to 2020, Get Growing provided young North East entrepreneurs starting a business with high-growth potential with a bespoke package of business support, including 1-2-1 advice, funding and training. The programme helped 32 businesses to secure investment of over £850k and create 56 new jobs.
Green For Go
Designed and delivered by PNE, in partnership with learning and development organisation FIRST, Green For Go! developed the enterprise skills and entrepreneurial aspirations of 172 college students across the North East between 2019 and 2020. The programme provided 14 hours workshops to each student and hosted a one-day inter-college grand final.
