Join the PNE Board!

Project North East (PNE) is a social enterprise, established in 1980 and based in Newcastle upon Tyne.  Our core purpose is to support economic growth through the delivery of projects and programmes that support people to consider, develop and grow their own business in a sustainable, ethical and socially responsible way.  We provide a full range of support including start up support, business consultancy, management qualifications, workspace and executive coaching to support SMEs to start, develop and thrive.

We have an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in joining our current loyal and committed Board of volunteer non-executive Directors.  We are looking for someone with the vision and skills to work with us to develop and drive our strategy, identify and maximise new opportunities, position the organisation effectively and bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to our work.  We would welcome applications from anyone that can support us, and knowledge and experience in any of the following areas would also be useful:

  • Inclusion and equality
  • Building management
  • Business development
  • Funding and finance
  • Business legislation

The roles are unpaid voluntary positions (reasonable expenses reimbursed).  Board members are expected to attend a minimum of four board meetings per year, at least one of which should be in person.

If you believe that you have the skills that we need, combined with the energy, commitment and drive to make a difference, we are keen to hear from you.
